I realize Evernew limits their supply to the US, but it's crazy. The Interwebs are totally failing me. I can find the 600mL but not the 2L.
Oct 6, 2012 at 4:15 pm #1918741I got a 30 oz. and a 50 oz. on Cyclocamping.com for $18 shipped. Not too bad. Don't know about the full 2 L size ones though.
Oct 6, 2012 at 4:28 pm #1918743http://www.greatoutdoorsdepot.com/evernew-water-carry.html shows 2 liter on hand
Oct 6, 2012 at 6:08 pm #1918771Good site Dale – but seems that site says that they are backordered (right under where you add to cart ? ) … or am I reading that wrong ?
Oct 6, 2012 at 6:26 pm #1918778This is where I bought mine about a month and a half back, but they're saying "Out of stock" also. These are seeming to sell out quite fast after coming back into stock:

Oct 6, 2012 at 6:29 pm #1918779DOH! I blew right past that. Thought I had it nailed for ya'.
If I can't find it, then it isn't made— or you really didn't need in the first place ;)
This outfit does appear to have 1.5 liters available (note my caution):

These were just instock yesterday, almost pulled the trigger, but the shipping was half the price of the Evernew. Good luck, let me know if you find any.
Oct 6, 2012 at 8:27 pm #1918801They are out too.

Oct 7, 2012 at 2:09 pm #1918944Neptune Mountaineering in Boulder had a small stock of 2 litre and 0.6 litre Evernews when I was in there 10 days ago.
Oct 7, 2012 at 7:37 pm #1919017I found some 1.5L ones at MLH wilderness supply ([email protected]). Found them on eBay but they were quick with delivery. No 2s tho, which is what I really wanted.
Oct 15, 2012 at 8:27 pm #1921639Got the bag the other day. Just wanted to say thanks! People like you are what make this community so awesome!

Oct 15, 2012 at 9:06 pm #1921650Keep googling, every day.
Put in stock notification requests to Mountain Laurel Designs and Gossamer Gear, both of whom state they're expecting shipments this month. I know that GG takes the requests in order received; I'll bet MLD does too. Check other firms to see if they do backorder requests of some sort.
I got a 2L one from Trail Designs last spring and two 400 ml ones from a place called "Great Outdoors Depot."
The problem is that thanks to the newer Platypus' being incompatible with the Sawyer Squeeze Filter, the Evernew carriers have become highly sought after. That's Platypus' loss for instituting non-standard threads! Plus I understand that the Evernew factory in Japan was out of production for quite a while after the tsunami and is still trying to catch up.
Oct 18, 2012 at 12:38 pm #1922552I bought one from Trail Designs last month.

Dec 21, 2012 at 4:58 am #1937162Dec 21, 2012 at 8:33 am #1937198Got in on the preorder from Gossamer Gear and MLD because I follow them on facebook. They are now sold out. They went fast. Good luck.
Dec 21, 2012 at 10:14 pm #1937346Why do people like these so much? I've the same platy for like 3-4 years now and it works great. Are they desirable because they are so hard to find?
Dec 21, 2012 at 10:28 pm #1937350Because they work with the Sawyer Squeeze, Platys threads do not match.
Dec 22, 2012 at 10:22 pm #1937556Michael,
Platys and many other water bottle threads work fine with the Sawyer Squeeze if you replace the 1/8 washer with a 1/16 neoprene washer which allows the platypus threads to set deeper. Costs about 20 cents.

Dec 22, 2012 at 10:29 pm #1937558Very cool thanks for the info.
I guess a year or so ago when the Sawyer was starting to get popular people were having issues with Platys, and it was a general conscientious that they just "didnt work, but the Evernew ones did".
