For hammocks, a finished side edge is recommended. Quest Outfitters has half inch, double sided tape for use on Cuben, 3.5 grams/yard. Can I just fold over the side edges using the tape to have a finished edge? Will the tape tolerate the folding on the gathered ends? Seems unlikely and perhaps un-needed there. My scheme is a no sewing, 9 foot by 53" hammock from 54" Cuben.
