In spite of repeatedly checking the box to keep me logged in, I still have to log back in sooner or later.
Other sites don’t have this problem.
Knowing nohing about your architecture, my background as a web dev says you should perhaps consider running a cookie or cache server to persist login tokens across content server reboots. In a perfect world, you actually run a pair, for redundancy, and so you can deploy patches and upgrades with out a service disruption.
If you’re on a cloud platform, this is mostly configuration overhead and a nominal increase in hosting cost. Requests only happen at the start of a session, the payload is small and latency isn’t much of a concern, so you don’t need much bandwidth, storage or processing power.
But it is a little more money and one more thing to manage.Feb 7, 2019 at 12:58 pm #3577319
