Right up front: this tent has seen the entire Pacific Crest Trail this year. So yes, it is used. That being said, it is in surprisingly good shape, a lot of that having to do with the amount of cowboy camping I did. The only noticeable wear is the zipper is off track, which should be an easy fix, as those things go out all the time on tents. Because of the amount of trail time this tent has seen I am marking it down significantly.
I am wanting to move to a tarp + bivy, so that’s why it is going. I loved the tent though, because:
+Incredibly spacious for one person (maybe get your dog in there!)
+Lightweight single-wall design at ≈24 ounces
+No need for tent poles, one trekking pole will do
+Durable silnylon, never felt worried about abrasion
Some downsides, if I am being honest:
-Learning curve to pitch
A nice feature is the guy-out holes on both ends, allowing additional head/foot space. I utilized that as a 6’4″ giant, and I’ll leave my spectra cord on there for whoever buys it. Retail is at 215$. My starting price CONUS F&F, is 140$.
If you want my take in video form, I talk a little about it at the beginning of this video at 2:53. Here are some photos of it in action:
