I recently started a thread on ultralight tents for the very tall.

Since I’ve learned a lot about how to do ultralight at my size (6 foot 9/208 cm), I decided I should share my gleanings with others. I put together a website to share my notes:

I hope this helps others. I intend to add to it as I’m able.

FWIW, I added some notes on clothing.

MLD often make quilts and packs in XL, XXL and even XXXL.

    From your website:

“I don’t have a wind shirt and haven’t been able to find anything that has sufficiently long sleeves and waist;”

Have you checked out lukesultralite.com? I’d recommend a look at their windgear. He does custom sizes and does a great job. I’d specifically check out his Argon Wind Shell. I have the Argon pants–had to have them specially sized for my 6’5″–and love them.

Awesome. Haven’t seen Luke’s, but I will contact him.
