I might add I looked at purchasing a headlamp in the recent AliExpress 11/11 sale, got frustrated by obscure demands for customs information, but now every time I look at CNN or BBC News online, one of the story panels is the very same advert for the headlamp from AliExpress that I placed in my online shopping basket…

I gave up on AliBaba a long time ago. Too many of the vendors wanted orders the size of a container. State-run factories I suspect. They also wanted cash in advance, with no recourse. Blow that for a lark.

I tried AliExpress, but they too made my life too difficult. I am not sure why. In many cases they advertised an MOQ of 1 but when it came to an order they wanted me to buy 1000. And they had an abysmal reply speed. Their refund policies seemed to be totally biased towards the vendor.

I find that anything on AliExpress which looks interesting is usually also available on ebay and/or BangGood, at a similar price. They are MUCH easier to deal with, and they do have a refund policy which works. The vendors on ebay are usually far more concerned about keeping their customers happy and their reputation high.

    Works for me.
    Cheers

Yes, on AliExpress a certain store selling a clone of the MLD Trailstar regularly increases their price for said clone just before the big AliExpress sale, discount the high price during the sale, then reduce the price back to the normal level after the sale finishes. So unwary punters finish up paying what I presume is the same price, while thinking they are getting a big saving.
