Going to try and make my son a headnet for mosquitos protection anyone know the best place to buy bug netting for headnet? I tried Zpacks, but not really the best stuff use for headnet. I wish Peter still made his headnet I would buy another one from him!

Okay, I’ve tried twice unsuccessfully to submit a response – it just disappears.  I suspect the link is somehow doing it.  So…

If you only need mosquito protection (not noseeum) then get what Peter used: black nylon tulle netting.  It breathes better and is easier to see out of than traditional netting.  You can get it at local fabric shops or Amazon in small quantities, or buy a bolt very cheaply at “tulle shop” (do a Google search for tulle bolt and it should be one of the first few hits.

Made mine out of the .7oz nanoseeum stuff – I can’t recall if I got it from Thru-hiker or OWF, but they both have it.
