Old BPL “Recent Forum Topics” you saw both the forum title and the title of the latest forum post. You could see thread drift, so that a formerly dull topic might become interesting, and vice versa.

Now all you see is the forum title. Can’t see thread drift unless you click through.

Can we get the old behavior back somehow? Am I missing part of the new BPL that has that feature?

I believe I am experiencing the same issue as Rex. On the old site there was a link to “Recent Posts”, but now I can only find a link to “Recent Threads.”

It was a really nice way to browse the forums, without having to click into every subcategory to view the posts sorted by time.

Rex I believe is speaking about how one could title their responses which showed how threads evolve or devolve depending on the discussion. Like a discussion on water bottles could turn into the bladder/bottle debate and could then turn into a discussion of water treatment potions for narrow necked bottles.

I suggest you read the new posting and moderator guidelines in the green link at bottom of this page. Things are slated to change.

Hopefully we’ll be able to keep thread drift in check by splitting threads as needed to keep discussions more focused on the OP’s topic through moderation. Since the forum software we are using doesn’t accommodate reply titling, and changing it would introduce further site speed issues and be quite expensive since it sort of goes against the entire philosophical design of this forum software, this feature request will be closed.
