I spoke with the apparel folks at Black Diamond and they said there will be changes made to the neck and yoke of the Alpine Start starting in the Spring 2016 edition.

For anyone considering this piece and hesitating based on reports of the tightly fitting neck and awkward hood for use without a helmet, I thought I’d pass this along. It’s a great piece, hopefully they refine it.

It sure took Black Diamond long enough to make the changes. There were complaints since the very beginning.

Any fix for the midsection bulging out in front? (What causes that anyway?)
