I had some extra eVent fabric so I made these shells. They fit me over liners and fleece mittens; I would usually buy a large or XL glove. 1.2 oz on my scale for the pair. Palm is 3.6 oz/yd eVent with slight texture, black; wrist and back are 2.25 oz eVent dark gray. Shockcord drawstring and mini-cordlock. $18 shipped CONUS via paypal; PM me
EDIT: ALL GONE! had many more requests than the amount of fabric I had, all are spoken for and most have been sent out. A couple pair I am waiting on payment, so there are a couple folks on the list who may still hear from me if the folks higher up the list back out, but those of you who posted this morning, sorry but none left for you, thanks anyway. I learned that if you have extra fabric it's much easier to sell it off made into something than as fabric!Jan 27, 2014 at 2:32 pm #2066892

I'd be interested in a Small pair, ie. woman's medium…Jan 27, 2014 at 5:44 pm #2066973
My ancient OR goretex mitts just blew out; I'd love a pair of these in large.Jan 27, 2014 at 7:47 pm #2067020
Man- everybody wants a pair! I think I have responded to all those who sent PM's. The first pair is sold to Gerald; I am going to make some more since I have fabric; but I don't think I have enough shockcord or cordlocks to go around so it will take a little while before I can get that, complete the shells and get them sent out to those who want them.
I think I can make 6 or 7 pair more from the fabric I have: I might be able to make another pair or two that would be all made from the heavier fabric. That would make them about 1/2 oz more, but still under 2 oz for a pair.
I'm trying to keep track of the order that folks replied in so it's first come, first served. Right now assuming everyone who has responded takes a pair, Alli & Will are on the bubble – may or may not have enough fabric to make some for you, so let me know if the slightly heavier version would be OK.Jan 27, 2014 at 8:34 pm #2067031
I'd be in for a heavier pair if Alli and/or Wil pass.

I'd love a pair in the large/xl sort of range
EDIT: Heavier fabric would bee fine. And you don't have to worry about the shock cord, I've got some laying around….
Anyways I would probably replace the shock cord with some flat elastic banding so as to save weight and not have to adjust themJan 28, 2014 at 5:59 am #2067106
I'd take a pair in XL in the heavier eVent material and possibly a M or L as well!Jan 28, 2014 at 6:30 am #2067114

I just received the mittens.
I must say I am very impressed with the workmanship! Just in time as we might be getting some more precip here in sunny SoCal and I can try them out. Now time for some seam sealing.
What an outstanding value. Thanks Paul : )Jan 31, 2014 at 5:45 pm #2068390
