Then I can all have all your stuff? Well, I suppose titanium tent stakes will survive, but I'll take any down, silnylon or cuben gear you've got.

Awww man, David…..I was hoping to take them with me into the afterlife. You never know when you're going to need a modular cuben shelter.Dec 20, 2012 at 4:36 pm #1937039

I think Maya time is Eastern Standard Time. Your turn will come. Mwahaha…

If I'm going down in a ball of fire, it's gonna be while wrapped up in cuben–sweet, sweet cuben…

Very funny, thanks T-man.
Travis, here's your shot at BPL coolness–you have 15* F temps tonight, right? (I grin, because that front is past us in CO) Windchill and all that? If you think that the temps will only go from 15* F to 2100* F in maybe an hour or so, I think you and Leanna should take the dog out for a short walk tonight, pile into a snowdrift, wearing only WP/B clothing. Hypothermia has to be better than the other option. If you don't have a dog, but rather goldfish, toss them into the snow, cover them up with more snow, and I'll bet that they'll love you even more in their afterlives. Whatever you do, once the temps get above 425* F, DON'T go back into the house–wouldn't be prudent. I hope that you survive to have a nice Christmas, which I rather expect you will. The UW game with Stanford will be a different story though, making you wished that the Mayans were right all along.
Happy Holidays, everyone!Dec 20, 2012 at 7:40 pm #1937083
No dog or fish, but we (and by 'we' I vehemently mean my wife) have a rabbit. I've been looking for an excuse to turn it into a pair of gloves–maybe hiding from the apocalypse in a snow bank is just the ticket!
Happy Holidays, everyone! Hope Santa is good to you all! I have a feeling I'll be stocking my cold-gear closet this Christmas.Dec 20, 2012 at 9:51 pm #1937117
At 4:11 am MST. I guess now the time the world will explode is based on the UTC time zone. You know, because the Mayan's had this time zone stuff figured out way back when.Dec 21, 2012 at 9:48 am #1937211
Yep. Another beautiful day here in sunny Southern Cal. Whew. :)Dec 22, 2012 at 5:56 am #1937379
