No offense, but in addition to the two posts above (who are correct), the G4 is going for $125.00 NEW….that's only a $25.00 difference from your price and I could get a new pack. I would buy the G4 or Granite Gear if the price was around $65.00 shipped…..maybe i'd go to $70.00 shipped. Consider this an offer, take it or leave it.

Every 24 hours I'm going to bump the thread and each pack will drop $10 until all are sold.
it's a Dutch auction…
You start with the highest price you think an item could possibly sell for and you drop the price till someone jumps in and buys itOct 11, 2012 at 5:29 pm #1920417
Seems like it would be more tasteful, or at least friendlier, to PM this seller with your insight and a reasonable offer rather than publicly call someone out for what is probably a innocent mistake.Oct 11, 2012 at 6:38 pm #1920436

I'm sure the OP has seen enough ads in Gearswap to see that none are written like this one.Oct 11, 2012 at 6:53 pm #1920442

OP didn't set this up as an auction. He has an asking price. Not sure what people are talking about. He's not asking people to bid on his stuff, he wants $100 per pack. If they don't sell in 24 hours he's going to knock $10 off the asking price. This is very similar to the way a lot of people sell. If something doesn't sell then sellers usually lower the price. The OP is just going through that process a bit quicker than most people do. Maybe he's asking a bit much for some of the packs but it seems to me that he explained himself on that matter. The prices will go down quickly if they are too high.
Edit to add that I'm speaking of an auction in the traditional sense. My post is in reference to bids and mentions of bids. I understand the reference to a dutch auction but don't know if that was his intention.Oct 12, 2012 at 7:30 am #1920546

If the virga dropped to $50 today and its still available I will take it. And by the way I see nothing wrong with the way this sale was doneOct 16, 2012 at 9:18 am #1921753

I am shocked and disgusted at the negative connotation of "Dutch Auction." Nederlanders should be honored for their contributions to Western art (Rembrandt, van Gogh), science (Ingenhousz), mercantilism and crony capitalism (Dutch East India Co.), not to mention adventure travel (Tasman). The insinuation that they are money-grubbing opportunists is offensive and should have no place in a progressive society.
