Does anyone know if Henry Shires is on a trip or something like that?
Because a few weeks ago I exchanged some mails with him about a few questions I had (and he was extremely fast in responding them) but when I finally confirmed my interest in ordering an item, I received no reply. A follow-up mail earlier this week left unanswered too.
Anyone an idea? Am I worrying too much?Nov 28, 2006 at 2:12 pm #1368603
Just to bring this up again: I’ve been trying to contact Henry Shires over the last few weeks but for some reason I do not seem to get an answer for him. I don’t know if he’s on a trip, has no time to answer questions. Has anyone heard of him lately?Dec 21, 2006 at 5:25 pm #1371913

That's strange… I ordered a Tarptent on 11/29 and received it about 8 days later. I had emailed Henry back and forth during that time. Maybe your emails are getting caught in his spam filter?Dec 21, 2006 at 5:40 pm #1371919
I received an email from Jill Fukuhara on 12/7 and Henry Shires on 12/19.Dec 22, 2006 at 1:05 am #1371945
Spam filter? I guess I could try using another e-mail account. I was quite strange, we had been mailing back and forward a few times and suddenly nothing anymore. Since then, all mails have been unanswered which seems so "unHenryShires".Dec 22, 2006 at 4:12 am #1371950

Obviously, he's around somewhere since other have heard fr/HS.
Are they using the same email address? Sometimes a person has more than one and can only access one of them when they are "out of the office", so to speak.
I was thinking that he was on a "shake-down" hike of sorts since, after some regular Postings to the Forums, HS has been silent, if i'm not mistaken [anyone, please correct me if i'm wrong on this last point; i may have missed one or more of HS's recent posts if he has made any].Dec 22, 2006 at 7:12 am #1371958

I got an email from him two days ago. He is doing well,
probably off skiing today. It is Christmas.Jan 10, 2007 at 8:33 am #1373751
I sent him an email 1/1/07 (I know, the first is a holiday), not expecting to hear from him right away. I still haven’t. All the times I have emailed Henry it has been literally hours if not minutes for a return email.Jan 10, 2007 at 9:11 am #1373759

Well if he is on holiday I know I won't be the first to say he deserves it!Feb 10, 2007 at 11:02 am #1377919

I just spoke to Henry by phone. He said that he is moving his business to Nevada City and shuttling between sites. Until he is settled in the new locale he might run behind in responding to e-mails.
