A while ago, I announced to my girlfriend that I wanted to get us a tarp and bivy set-up. "You already have too many shelters," she said. "You get another shelter, I get an appliance." (We have a microwave older than I that is on its last leg.
Earlier this year, I got the tarp/bivy setup:
Today, I got the microwave.
Who got the better end? I'm voting for myself.Aug 11, 2009 at 8:31 pm #1520224

I vote for the shelter, good compromise. I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets crap about "to many shelter" or "gear" :)Aug 11, 2009 at 8:48 pm #1520228

… cut off the handle to reduce weight … wrap duct tape around it … use it as a multi-use item by attaching a rope to make a new kind of bear canister … ???Aug 11, 2009 at 9:23 pm #1520232

Coke? Thats lame.Aug 21, 2009 at 2:47 pm #1522338
Matt – Sounds like you win either way :D.Sep 1, 2009 at 6:33 am #1524187
"Coke? Thats lame."
David, why is that lame? Are we lame because we don't drink booze? Should he have a PBR cracked open?
He like his imported Mexican Coke (classic sugar version) in glass bottles. And there is nothing lame about that, oh Lame-Master.Sep 1, 2009 at 5:22 pm #1524358
@sarah – While I'm in the same camp as you (no booze), I think it's sad he only gets a sandwich in exchange for a whole kitchen, lol. At least give him some of the extra goodies that don't fit on the dehydrator trays :p.Sep 2, 2009 at 1:03 pm #1524597
Hehheh!! Oh don't worry, when he works out of the home office I make him meals for lunch – the one pot meals I then put on the website. He is my taste tester ;-)
He likes it more though when it is time to test desserts ;-)Sep 2, 2009 at 1:39 pm #1524608

Booze? No I just think it is your job to rub his feet. Perhaps a pedicure? Back rub?
He works hard for you; at least this is what he has told me.Sep 2, 2009 at 2:33 pm #1524629

LOL @ David!
You're either brave or foolish! If I were you, I wouldn't want to be on the same CONTINENT as Sarah after that one! LOLSep 6, 2009 at 7:24 pm #1525513
Funny is I do give him foot rubs and pedicures ;-) He gets a back rub pretty often as well. ;-PSep 6, 2009 at 8:22 pm #1525526
LOL Are there more women like you on your planet? :) I would like very much to go there.Sep 6, 2009 at 8:38 pm #1525530
