I tried to Google info on this, and looked on Montbell's webiste, but could not find out anything about it. Is it breathable? What is (was) the retail price? Is there a DWR finish? Thanks!Feb 28, 2008 at 5:50 pm #1422449
I bought this jacket several years ago. I actually don't remember the price that I paid. It is well designed and manufactured which you would expect from MB and is in mint condition. Like all garments of this type it has a durable water repellant (DWR) treatment. Yes, it is breathable. Non-breathable film type garments are essentially vapor barrier liners (VBL) and would be very unpleasant to wear as a general purpose jacket.
However, I perspire far more than most when I exercise. Garments that work for most people fail me. My moisture transfer needs are too great for this garment. Other than that, I like this jacket very much. If you don't sweat heavily like me and it fits you, I would recommend it.
