I was apprehensive when trying on the timberland trailscape but bought it in a time of desperation. The trailscape isn't as light as the lighter running shoes and it has a partial leather upper. However, the flex feels great, similiar to inov-8 shoes I've worn. Despite the partial leather, the shoe breathes well and dries around the leather quickly. The materials and workmanship are impeccable. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone that appreciates inov-8 shoes or a free flexing shoe but wants a little more durability and protection from rocks underfoot, a combination I wouldn't have thought possible.
