The video shows flames going up the pot sides which I feel (without a cone to conserve heat) is “wasting” heat. i.e. chimney needs to be taller, maybe by at least 1/4″. (IMHO)

I was giving some thought to Frankinsense and Myrrh and came up with the idea to create an essential oil using  esbit. It would have an apeal to certain ethnic groups that are associated with large amount of fish. It could be used in perfumery and aromatherapy. If it burned as well as solid esbit, it would be a dual purpose fuel

I may have found an alternative solid fuel to heat(not boil) 1 cup of water/coffee. Product is in the mail and due to arrive Jan 3.

It’s called Government paperwork, especially everything to do with the ATO/IRS.
We burn it when it’s >7 years old – and there is a LOT of it.

The stuff I’m getting is charcoal impregnated with saltpeter/aka potasium nitrate. Suppose to be smokeless. Yes, I know what you are thinking

Last stove for the year 2018. The Cuppa Tea Stove.

Solid fuel  “Radical Charcoal” with Esbit assist.  Charcoal burns so hot, the esbit has a hard time staying lit LOL I used esbit so I could include it in this thread 

It will be paired up with an aluminum cup. It’s designed for those that live for a cuppa tea in the morning, noon and night

Yes….but, the esbit will be eliminated and so the charcoal is easily lit with a flick of a bic, a match or flint and steel sparks. I crammed the video in before the end of the year. The tea  teetotallers of the UK will love this new stove   It’s work-in-process to get the specifics on length of burn, weight and time to boil 1 cup.  It will probably heat 1 cup before you can even set up a canister stove ;-)

New sliding lid tin modified for esbit. Has the ability to simmer.

Weighs 8 grams. Has elongated slots on side for air entry for complete combustion.

In my opinion, long-term evolution of the sliding lidded Esbit tray might diverge into at least 3 variations: 1. Optimized for the 4 gm tabs;  2. Optimized for both tab sizes; and 3. Optimized for the 14 gm tabs.

2. Maybe then renamed the Esbitoptimiser?

Small holes on both long sides near each end to take wire stubs, so can be hung level in use.
