I wanted to add a trunk box to my rear rack and built one from a 30-caliber plastic ammo can/dry box.

Aug 6, 2014 at 12:39 pm #2125284Thanks! Seeing that my panniers mount on the rail below the box, it would be fine for touring or bike packing.
I like the idea of using dry bags and you could strap one on top of each pannier alongside the box. I have a pack liner-sized dry bag to go in my front basket.
