    Hi there BPL,

We're in the process of building up for an UL and SUL adventure gear-production house in the coming months.

Currently most of our energies are being put toward design revisions and torture testing out gear.

However, since we're using a few unique fabrics and we've had quite a bit of interest we're offering them for sale through our website.

    Cascade Craftworks

We'd like to offer 10% off everything storewide through April 6th

Use Coupon code BPL10 when you check out for the savings!

Thanks and have fun out there!

Nathan, I'm always interested in new UL backpacking gear startups, and I wish you the best of luck in your venture. One concern about one product though: you're selling twisted Kevlar line. There are dozens of people selling the same stuff on ebay, with special coatings, in many colors, and the only customers who are happy with it are those who store it for emergencies or use it for decorating the handle of their Wicked Tactical Bushcraft Knife. In practice, twisted lines become a tangled, unravelling, frustrating mess after two uses, which is exactly what one would expect from a line made from three little cords that are just wound around eachother. Customers who buy it from you will soon be telling others that they need to replace the frustrating crap that they bought from Cascade Craftworks.

Lawson Kline and other well regarded cottage vendors don't sell twisted line; it's braided. Lawson and others earned their good reputations by selecting their products based on function, not because they found a bargain source for it.

Just some constructive input. No offense intended.

    Thanks for the input Colin,

Perhaps we became a bit overzealous in our search for lightweight cordage, and I understand that durability may be a concern for such a niche product. Perhaps we should be more discerning in our description.

    Cheers
