"Your dividend balance from 2012: $20.45
Your 2013 dividend is currently being calculated and will be available late March."Mar 20, 2014 at 11:37 am #2084628That's a change from yesterday. Mines updated as well.
Been sitting on an REI gift card all month waiting for it to come out. Was planning on getting the Ibex Indie unless something else pops up.
Mar 20, 2014 at 11:47 am #2084632Yea they have some minor errors in their code for the display, but it goes through just fine.

Mar 20, 2014 at 12:23 pm #2084651As most REI members realize, the annual dividend percentage varies from year to year. Why is it that the year when I had a lot of purchases, like $600, the percentage was small, like 7%? Then the year when I had the least purchases, like $25, the percentage was big, like 13%. I can't win.

Mar 20, 2014 at 12:54 pm #2084659You'll have to take that up with Murphy. Get him to change that damn law ;)
Mar 20, 2014 at 12:58 pm #2084660Doesn't the dividend come with a 20% member coupon as well in the mail? Can't remember from last year.
Mar 20, 2014 at 12:59 pm #2084663Your dividend balance from 2012: $235.13
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Mar 20, 2014 at 1:04 pm #2084666>Your dividend balance from 2012: $235.13<
Do you have anything left to buy there??
Mar 20, 2014 at 1:35 pm #2084669"Your dividend balance from 2012: $5.63"
Woohoo! With the 20% coupon I can get a Mountain House meal!
Here's hoping my MLD and Zpacks dividends are better.
Mar 20, 2014 at 2:17 pm #2084685$73.29 this year. I could have sworn I didn't buy any gear in 2013!
It would be nice if you could see all of your purchases online instead of just REI.com purchases.
Mar 20, 2014 at 2:25 pm #2084689"Your dividend balance from 2012: $144.38
Your 2013 dividend is currently being calculated and will be available late March."I thought I already used my 2012 balance. Does this mean I really have that much left and my 2013 balance is soon to be added to that? I suspect that is really my 2013 balance.
Mar 20, 2014 at 3:13 pm #2084707No, it's a screw up on REI's part. That's really your 2013 balance.
Mar 20, 2014 at 3:38 pm #2084712They haven't posted mine yet. :(
Mar 20, 2014 at 4:33 pm #2084727Hooray, the dividend is here. Now all I have to do is to figure out how to spend $1.14 at REI. I don't think that its merchandise price tags go that low.

Mar 20, 2014 at 5:19 pm #2084740You could get a $0.99 mini carabiner! And still have money left over!
Mar 20, 2014 at 6:36 pm #2084762Got my $0.30 today!
Mar 20, 2014 at 6:49 pm #2084764I should get a nice whack, all due to wife buying lifestyle crap.
Mar 20, 2014 at 7:05 pm #2084773For those of us that came into backpacking early-on (in my case early/mid 1970's), REI was one of the only options. Great service, decent prices, and a place you could actually order gear from.
REI definitely lost its way in the mid 1980's and into the 1990's, but today they're own branded stuff competes with the best out there. Something that definitely couldn't be said in the 70's, and many years after.
I paid $5 for my membership in 1975 and have never regretted it… might not be de-riguer these days, but it's still a pretty good outfit, even in an internet age of bored, insufferably unimpressed, gear heads…
Mar 20, 2014 at 7:22 pm #2084776Your dividend balance from 2013: $963.45
Pretty cool for doing nothing more than using my REI card for my business expenses. No annual fee, pay off the balance every month, good sales on good clothing, which is what I use my dividend for mostly. Life is good…
Mar 20, 2014 at 7:43 pm #2084786My best year for an REI dividend was my worst year on the trail. I had so much unnecessary crap and I carried it all. Since joining BPL and figuring out what to avoid, my dividend has been pitiful and my back has been so much happier.
Mar 20, 2014 at 7:46 pm #2084788$132.68! Yay…. But, hard to admit, I don't NEED anything! Well, maybe a new Platypus….
Mar 21, 2014 at 8:35 am #2084909$49.73
I have no idea how I spent almost $500 there over the last year.
