I am considering doing both the jdf and wct trails at the end of the summer. Current looking at starting either the week before or the week after labour day and am wondering what kind of weather I should expect around that time of year.
Also any good sources of information you could recommend other than the official national parks guide?

September was wet when I was on the JDF and I'm pretty sure that's normal. It won't be that cold, but don't count on easy fires because the forest is often soaked so you have to work for it if you want a fire.
Regarding guides, there is a JDF guidebook that is decent:
