Currently there are fire bans affecting the first 6 segments of the CT which go through Jefferson and Park counties. Looks like another bad fire year for Colorado. Please be careful out there.
Jun 12, 2013 at 8:17 pm #1996094…seems like it is another (possible) year for WG, canister or stoveless options for meals if these bans continue.
Jun 12, 2013 at 8:57 pm #1996099This is why I am waiting on a new canister stove to arrive. On the other hand, living about 4 miles from the Black Forest fire I am tempted to go stoveless. Pretty spooked two summers in a row!
Jun 12, 2013 at 9:21 pm #1996104On solo trips it is an option I make use of for sure. Less futzing, no need to cook in hot weather and do not have to worry about fuel.
Ps be safe! 4 miles seems unccmfortably close. :O
