It's really annoying and not useful when posts are stripped of white space. Nicely formatted tables get ruined and become harder to read or import to a spreadsheet.
It's great we have a fixed pitch font that allows simple spacebar tabulation.
Why would you ever need to strip white space anyway? Are you running the server on a Commodore 64?
Please please us by fixing.

May 21, 2013 at 10:58 am #1988352The best way to preserve a table format is to do it in Excel, Save As a pdf, then Export from the pdf to a jpg, and Insert the jpg into your post.
PITA, but it works.
