    @rouxjean

    I'm going to start backpacking with my little 6 months old son this summer and was wondering what suggestions you'd have for these four separate needs :

    -What do you use specifically for protection inside a lean to?
    -What do you use when having to rest along the trail (breastfeeding sessions comes to mind…)
    -What do you use for your child?
    -What do you use with the baby carrier?

    As for the parents, they are using deet!

    Thanks

    I think what you are looking for is a bug bivy.

    Take a 4 foot square or circle of bug netting

    During the day put it over your hat and tuck into shirt

    At night drape it over head, feet are protected inside sleeping bag

    A tent might be worth it though I don't know where you like to go.
