South Fork To Garfield grove and beyond

I was interested in checking out Garfield Grove in Sequoia, and maybe South fork and Homers Nose depending of conditions. Possible stay at Hockett Lakes for the night. I would like to doing it as a overnight trip.

Has any one done this hike? What would conditions be like in the early season.( April-June) Do I need to worry about river crossing.

I've never been further south than Mineral King, so the place to search is Climber.Org

There are some fairly recent trip reports for Homer's Nose.

This looks like an area that doesn't see many visitors.
