naw man….bk5!
a cool hard 13.5 inches of overcompensation.
Mar 9, 2013 at 11:05 pm #1963783Nice, Konrad! I've got a Ka-Bar USMC 7" (14"overall) but its at the family's cabin. Talk about overcompensation (for a civilian).
Homegrown. Homebrew.
Mar 9, 2013 at 11:05 pm #1963784Careful Konrad, that 2% can creep up on you.
This is my wife's contribution.
No overcompensation necessary.

Oh the nostalgia … how I long for the days when I could (and did) have one in my pocket at school … and played the "who can throw it and get it stuck in the ground closest to his foot" game.
Mar 10, 2013 at 8:01 am #1963820A thread about knives, vintage books, and booze may be the greatest thing in the history of the internet.

The book is an original published during the war by Overseas Editions, Inc. Don't know if you can read it at the bottom of the book, but it says: This edition of an American book is made available in various countries only until normal free publishing, interrupted by Axis aggression, can be reestablished.
The knife came from the Karl Marx University cafeteria. The Irish Whiskey seemed to fit the theme (and is quite tasty, to boot!)
Mar 10, 2013 at 9:42 am #1963843Best Vonnegut book ever. I've read everything he's done.
Mar 10, 2013 at 10:11 am #1963855Protech Tantilla: 2 edges 2 oz. ;)
Mar 10, 2013 at 10:18 am #1963857He seems like an author I'd enjoy as I dig Kerouac, Bukowski, Selby, Palahniuk, Hunter Thompson, etc.
The book in my photo is a 1937 printing of the Complete Works of William Shakespeare that I picked up at the Theater in DC. I should note that I'm not a metrosexual but play one on TV.

An excellent vintage, the proper receptical to drink it out of, and a book near and dear to my heart. Oh yeah, and my trusty Gerber LST ( this is about knives, right..?)
