Spyderco Ladybug. 17 grams. $22.
The little chore knife for when I don't carry a knife (Fastpacks, long runs, etc.)
(Edit: Sorry folks, not for sale. Just showing off my new knife here…already received 3 PMs, didn't realize it looks so much like a Gear Swap FS ad.)
Mar 9, 2013 at 8:51 pm #1963714Steinbeck, PBR, and a cold piece of hardened steel.
I'm getting a kick out of the juxtaposition here. You really do know how to "slum it" while simultaneously classing the hell out of things don't you Craig?
Mar 9, 2013 at 9:05 pm #1963722Refined taste and empty pockets my friend.
Mar 9, 2013 at 9:15 pm #1963725perfect dialogue here, some of my favorite BPL voices.
(typed while drinking a 40 of High Life, ode to empty pockets)
Mar 9, 2013 at 9:23 pm #1963732Is that a length of Kelly Triptease line?
I'll take it for $22.
Mar 9, 2013 at 9:30 pm #1963737Yes, it's Triptease. A 3" loop tied with an overhand knot by yours truly. $22 shipped CONUS. Travis, I guarantee you'll never find a better 3" loop for the money.
Mar 9, 2013 at 9:31 pm #1963738Hehe!
Mar 9, 2013 at 9:38 pm #1963742Bucktoof,
I'll offer you $18 but I'm not paying the 3% PP fee
Mar 9, 2013 at 9:40 pm #1963743I use the same knife (but the 1/2 serrated, 1/2 straight edge version). Perfect sub 1 oz knife!
Good idea to add a loop of reflective cord; I think I still have some triptease around here somewhere…
Mar 9, 2013 at 9:45 pm #1963746Sorry dude, this is a Triptease loop.
But for $18 I could sell you one of those really good blue rubber bands off of a bunch of asparagus.
Let me know.
@Nick
It's a sweet little knife, eh? I used to carry nothing but a Victorinox classic but the blade on those is just so small. The Ladybug is certainly tiny, but the blade is a bit more functional.Mar 9, 2013 at 9:50 pm #1963747Nice knife! One of the best UL'ers out there.
Sorry Craig, I couldn't resist –here' is my american youth pg-13 version. If only I had a capri-sun or some purple drink. How's that for class :)
Willing to trade for Call of Duty Black Ops 2 or an Alien Workshop skateboard deck.Mar 9, 2013 at 9:52 pm #1963748I'll give you $18 for the asparagus.
Mar 9, 2013 at 9:53 pm #1963750Nice Konrad!
Mar 9, 2013 at 9:59 pm #1963754Asparagus is all gone.
But for $19 I could sell you a funnel and a hose. Many backpacking uses, like being able to pee in your tent without using your cookpot.Mar 9, 2013 at 10:02 pm #1963758What's the diameter on the funnel?
Mar 9, 2013 at 10:04 pm #1963760Good you asked. Funnel and hose shown actual size. Very UL.
Mar 9, 2013 at 10:06 pm #1963761Man, I can only give you $22 for the Rubber bands. +the 3% PP fee, of course.
I'm no thief.
–Actual size?? Nice- looks like the perfect ID
Mar 9, 2013 at 10:11 pm #1963763Hold on… lemme go measure…

EDC and all around make you feel like a hero knife. Tonight, it very may well be the the knife I fall on if I can't break this stuck drain bolt on my center diff.
An empty Tecate tallboy can is an excellent platform for that UL alky stove you've been scheming.
PIF to the first person who PM's me.
Mar 9, 2013 at 10:29 pm #1963770Switchblade from Italy. Imported by my own hand. Maker unknown, but when a friend and I walked into this little shop in Firenze and asked about switchblades, the little old lady behind the counter, without a word, walked to the front door and locked it. Walked to the back room and came out with a shoebox full of knives. "No say anything," she said.
Bitburger beer. Beethoven approved.
Mar 9, 2013 at 10:40 pm #1963774Dear God, I think we've created a BPL meme…
Mar 9, 2013 at 10:41 pm #1963775Damn…
From New Mexican barfighting blades to classy European black market jobs…I'm in good company. Now that Eugene instilled some knife envy in me, I gotta bring out the big guns.
Gerber LMF II ASEK. Insulated handle so I can cut enemy power lines. BAM.
Mar 9, 2013 at 10:50 pm #1963777Good choice there, Travis.
Mar 9, 2013 at 10:51 pm #1963778Move aside boys….real men at work here.
And after this, you bet your ass I'm reading Where the Red Fern Grows…I'm supposed to be waking up for a hike in 4 hours and here I am raiding the fridge for BPL stupidity. Love it.
Mar 9, 2013 at 10:53 pm #1963780K that a bk15?
