My updated gear list for my second summer of UL backpacking. I generally hike with a partner and I carry the Poles/Rain Fly of the Tent while my partner carries the body of the tent (this should explain the unusual weight)

    Quarter Dome T2 Plus Poles/Fly= 43oz
    Marmot Arete+-24oz + Dry Sack=24.4oz

    Bandana-.5oz
    Benchmade Griptilian 5.1-3.25oz
    Iphone 4 +Mophie Juice Pack Pro-10.8oz
    REI Traverse Powerlock Poles-20.8oz

    REI OXTx1-5oz
    Kuhl Liberator Bottoms-4oz

Hoping I'll hit the trail for a 3 day trek with a total weight around 13-15LBS. Pretty happy about that.

What do you think about the q-core sl?

Well, I loved the comfort of it but I realized last night (I had only blown it up once) that the Q Core is both shorter and less wide than Big Agnes claims. I think the actual measurements of the pad are closer to 70×18. Despite the pads great comfort on my back I REALLY dislike the fact that I cannot rest either of my arms on the pad.

The fabric of the Q Core SL is definitely more robust that I had thought it would be and it compresses into a very small package (smaller than Big Agnes actually claims, possibly due to the size discrepancy).

Size Comparison to ExpedStuff Sack Size

In any case, the Q Core SL is going to be rotated out of this gear list and last summer's Exped UL7 is going to rotate back in.

Thanks for the pictures. Sorry to derail your gear list! I'm disappointed that the width has been such an issue for early adopters. It looked like it would be a winner. Paying the weight and price penalty for the large size seems pretty rough as well.

You have two t-shirts but no insulation layer. Most people would bring a puffy to wear while sitting around camp.
Iphone 4 but no map and compass.
    Sunglasses but no sunhat.
You don't list shoes/boots although you probably are wearing some. If not I want to hear all about it.

I would also bring a warm beanie and a change of socks.

Can you add what the items are, not just their brand and name? It makes it rather hard to understand and comment if you don't list what the items are, ie socks, shorts, sleeping bag etc.

Re the pad: Neoairs have the same issue, have you measured it when it's deflated?

I noticed the same thing about the new BA pad at REI last week. I have the grey Q-core LW, and while astoundingly comfy, it is a bit too heavy to be mentionable on this forum (37 oz). Don't ban me!
    :)
I am looking into lighter options but I think the M size Q core SL is also too narrow for me, it just barely fits under my shoulder blades and has my arms drooping 4 inches down to the ground. The only 16 oz option that fits my torso may be a UL7 M like you show.

I'm not sure how I excluded the rain/insulating layers in my list. Anyway…. I should have also mentioned that I almost always backpack with a partner and that the odd weights for the Quarter Dome reflect that.

Final 3 Season Ultralight Backpacking List (3 Day)

    Smartwool PHD Socks-2oz
    Smartwool Long Sleeve Zip Top-9oz

    Base Weight (In pack)-11.07 LBS

I'm fairly happy with this. I've dropped around 2 lbs from last summer's gear list. I will easily be under 20 LBS for a three day jaunt, not too bad.
