That's right, the world's ugliest piece of insulation is on Departmentofgoods.com (Backcountry's outlet site) for 89.50. They only have the Paprika/midnight but, at 8 oz. and $89 bucks, beggars can be choosers!
Plus, if you need rescuing, you'll be easily spotted ; )
Oct 20, 2012 at 12:43 pm #1923177Yeah, but the rescuers might be blinded by all that ugly, haha. A good deal though, for sure.
Oct 20, 2012 at 12:49 pm #1923178Do youhave a special link or coupon? Itcame to $107.00 for me.

Did you switch the shipping to "standard" to "economy"? They have it by default to "standard" which is $20-$30 depending on your zip code. Switching it to economy (7-14 days) should bring it back down to $89.50.

Regards,
JohnUPDATE: okay, I went straight throught the site's homepage anf the code worked.
Oct 20, 2012 at 2:17 pm #1923202You will need to use the 50% discount code that is listed on the Department of Goods homepage when you check out. It drops any item to a total of 50% off of the retail price. The Hardron is currently at 30% off, but with discount code it drops to 50% off of the retail price. That gets it to $89.
Oct 20, 2012 at 3:29 pm #1923217Great warmth and light weight. Verified on scale at 8oz.
By the way, it also has a storage pocket inside jacket with zipper that maybe of use. The internal pocket never seems to be mentioned on reviews I have seen.Oct 20, 2012 at 6:55 pm #1923259Thank goodness for that last "r" :)
Oct 20, 2012 at 7:17 pm #1923265Yeh I been cracking up at that too.
The profanity filter was getting warmed up.
IDK I'm trying to laugh about it having 'stoic' also. "That thing ain't movin" LOL
I wish I had a stoic hardron…
