The NEX system just got way more appealing thanks to the introduction of this lense. A totally decent ap-c camera with a 24-75mm range can soon be had for a little under 14 oz.
I was considering an RX100, but I may very well go for this combo instead for just over 5 extra oz.
Sep 12, 2012 at 3:55 am #1911506Sep 23, 2012 at 5:31 am #1914859From the Sony site:
"Thanks to its clever retracting mechanism, this zoom lens collapses to just 3/16"
What?
From the specs page:
Dimensions (Max. Diameter x Length) : 2-5/8" x 1-13/16 (64.7 x 29.9mm)2-5/8" is actually = 66.675mm, not 64.7mm
1-13/16" is actaully = 46.03mm not 29.9mmI wonder which dimensions are correct, the metric or imperial.
Not sure I'd buy a lens from a company which can't convert between the two.
