I recently discovered that the Nalgene Cantene screw top lid matches up with the threads on the bottom of this toilet tank flushing mechanism. Please see live photos below:

    here

I'm rushing to press so those of you in the middle of a MYOG project can include this important discovery if it works for you.

As always, I have no plans to seek a patent.

Cool discovery Daryl it seem Nalagene makes their screw caps thread to fit standard items. I replace all my platy and smart water bottle caps with The tuff nalagene pill bottle caps their caps are thicker and made of heavier grade plastic..

I can't wait for the MYOG back country crapper thread. Nalgene stock just skyrocketed.

    Seriously, what's wrong with you?

Will this be inserted in your bladder sleeve of your pack?

Or mounted on the "tie loops" on the outside?

If on the outside, seems you could attach a hose to the center of the cap, then place tube with bite piece in mouth, then flush for re-hydrating on the trail!

    And if filled with beer . . . .

That announcement would be called a "news flush" in New Zealand.

    Man!

I made a "life mistake!" NZ should have been my LAST country to visit, darn it!

I cycled the whole perimeter of the North Island in a month. I was SO overwhelmed by the happiness of the community of me on "holiday", I felt there was a national competition going on of "which NZ area can be the NICEST to a visitor."

Your "Great Walks" may not need this new hydration device, since fresh water to filter is easy to find.

As for your response . . . "Good on you!"

    All,

Thanks for the feedback. I've passed your ideas on to my staff and we'll see what develops.

This important discovery provides additional proof that all things are, or can be, connected.

And just to clarify….I see no contradiction here with with the recent Higgs Boson discoveries.

you are correct. I asked Peter about that .
He said to tell you : Daryl you complete me!

I don't know if this is the lightest 'potty' kit available. But look at all the weight & $ you'll save by not carying one of those fancy titanium trowels. ;)

I can't believe that when you took your toilet apart, the thought that occurred to you was, "hey, this is the same thread size as my Platypus" : )

Ha, ha… hey…the label is wrong…that is the CLEAN water outlet to the bowl.
Good thinking, but I think it would slosh out in the ADK's. I have a hard time with half-liter bottles…

Supposedly you're 'rushing to press' yet the photos show a date of Aug. 13 and your thread was started Aug. 15. Very odd.

It appears you've given yourself a few days head start on the competition so you can crush them in the market.
