Ken–Thanks. I hadn't been on that page before!
Sep 26, 2012 at 8:42 pm #1916001Is Forest Rd 35N10 labeled as Canyon View Drive on google maps?
Sep 26, 2012 at 9:08 pm #1916003After 19 hours of traveling(including nasty delays), I'm in a hotel at the foot of Mount Shasta(Weed). Thursday I'll explore Mt. Shasta a bit and head to the TH. Just giving the heads up I'll be there. No weird flying stories this time.
Sep 26, 2012 at 9:15 pm #1916007Have fun exploring and you want to pick up a souvenir for friends or family.
Sep 26, 2012 at 9:17 pm #1916008I figured there had to be a shirt;->

No it is Long Canyon Trail. It's a hard right. Look at these coordinates 40.921160° -122.811135°
Sep 26, 2012 at 10:17 pm #1916027Not Matt, Casey, or Kat. She is sick. Feel better Kat!
Sep 27, 2012 at 4:09 am #1916044I should be there with my friend around midnight.
Sep 27, 2012 at 5:31 am #1916050It's finally here. OK So one more thing to remember. It is deer season. The deer know this and you will find more deer in town/on the roads this time of year. Drive carefully. We also go through a neighborhood of sorts on the way to the trailhead. Don't be in a hurry. Get there safe and ready to have some fun.
Thanks to everyone who is coming.
Thanks to those for letting me know that you are not coming.
I'm bugging out early this evening. Any questions? Ask them today.
Sep 27, 2012 at 6:58 am #1916068Regarding Thursday night camping. We are camping at the TH? Are there sites there or are we just improvising?
Sep 27, 2012 at 2:11 pm #1916202Jim, it's supposed to be just a parking area for the trailhead. I am going to just crash in my car or maybe just on the ground outside of it.
Sep 27, 2012 at 2:36 pm #1916210We are right in the wilderness at the trailhead parking. I think the minimum set up for camping is 200' from parking. Or sleep in the car.
With the Vanagon I have a queen size bed wherever I go.
Sep 27, 2012 at 4:12 pm #1916236Black kia hatchback rental. ill scope the place but may fold the seats down & crash
Sep 27, 2012 at 4:55 pm #1916251OK So I'll be heading out in a little over an hour from now.
Any questions?
I'll see everyone there.
