I'm planning on heading up to WMNF for 8-10 days in August to make an attempt at the 48 4000'ers. In order to do his I am planning on breaking the peaks up into 13 sections, most on them in the dayhike range. I was hoping to sleep in my car in at trailheads most nights, does anyone know if this is allowed in WMNF? I'd rather not have to reserve and pay for campsites.
Also, whats up with the park passes? is this the same as the campsite fee? are they needed for trailhead parking lots? I've been going in circles on the Forest Service website and can't figure anything out.
Thanks
