    Hi folks,

    Hope all is well today.

What are folks opinions of Pack Gourmet dehydated meals.

I ordered 2 sample pack a few days ago, one to try out at home and if I like the food I will take it on trip to the Rockys the weekend after next.

    Cheers,

    Stephen

Edit: just found a thread from last month with info, will look that over.

Their food goes on every trip with me now. I don't get fancy – if I can't prepare it in a bag with just boiling water I don't bother. Here are my favorites:
    – Austintacious Tortilla Soup
    – Dottie's Chicken & Dumplings
    – Tuscan Beef Stew
    – Zydeco Red Beans and Rice (with the "toastees")
    – Big'un Burrito (BYO Tortillas)
    – Creamy Italian Polenta for breakfast (better than my beloved grits)
    – Jump-Start Fruit Smoothies (especially in the summer when I might not want a hot breakfast)

Their customer service is great too.

I am looking forward to trying them out, the smoothies interest me the most as I have one for breakfast each morning at home.

I have tried lots of different freeze dried and wet outdoor foods and always have been a disappointed, I did buy a dehydrator for 35bucks in Walmart which I wil try out sometime ;-)
