    Hi All,

The few times I've used Esbit tablets as stove fuel, I've ended up with a nsaty black residue coating my cook pot. I'm wandering if there may be a better brand of Esbit, a better stove or maybe that's just the deal with Esbit?

I've been using the FireLite Titanium Esbit Wing Stove with the FireLite Solid Fuel Tablets.

That's just the thing with Esbit. There will be black goo on the bottom of your pot, but black absorbs more heat so I shouldn't worry about it too much. Besides it washes off easily.
