I am contemplating the purchase of an Iso-Clean Stove from Flat Cat Gear.

    Iso-Clean Stove

I would like to make a pot stand out of stainless steel welded wire mesh that would simply be rolled up inside of the stove approximating its internal diameter and rising up the required 3/10ths of an inch above the stoves upper edge.

My description differs from the above image because I intend to roll the wire and insert it into the stove itself and let it press outwardly against the interior wall of the stove.

Does anyone know of a source for a small bit of suitable welded stainless mesh with 1/2" squares?

I'm thinking the wire should be around .020" to 030".

I'd like to keep the pot to stove air gap as unrestricted as possible.

Other options there, too (including woven).

    Dan and David,

Thanks for the info. I was actually looking at their site when your responses popped up.

I kept looking for 1/2" x 1/2" welded wire mesh and realized what I didn't know about the sizing.

2 x 2 welded wire mesh is actually 1/2" x 1/2" because the sizing standard is the number of squares in an inch.

    Learning all the time I am! L O L
