Does anyone know what mesh is used in Nathan packs and where to possibly to source it?

Great question Huzefa, I've wondered the same thing.

When you find out, post that info here.

I do not know where Nathan's sources their mesh from but here is a link to what seems to be a very similar product.

    http://www.rockywoods.com/Fabrics-Kits/Mesh-Fabrics/Mil-Spec-Heavyweight-Mesh-Fabric

    Mil-Spec Mesh

It is 9.5 ounces per square yard.

Seattle fabrics also has its 8600 polyester dive mesh.

    Dive Mesh

The website doesn't specify the fabric weight.

I'm also looking for a durable and easy to work with mesh fabric.

    Update:

I contacted Quest Outfitters and I will soon be receiving a sample swatch of their #1204 POLYMESH- soft finish fabric. This mesh fabric has holes that are approx 1/8" x 1/8" in a somewhat diamond shaped. This fabric's weight is 7.5 oz per square yard.

I will post a picture of this fabric as soon as I get the swatch in the mail.

    Party on,

    Newton

Here is the long awaited picture of the # 1204 Quest Outfitter's Polymesh – Soft.

    Polymesh - Soft

It stretches / gives about 20% horizontally and very little vertically.

Its fabric weight is 7.5 oz per sq yd. It is 100% polyester. The diamond shaped holes are approximately 1/8".

What I like about it is that it doesn't seem to have the predisposition to raveling like other mesh I have used.

It feels lighter to the touch than Leno Mesh but is .9 oz lighter than the Leno Mesh. ;-?

FWIW this post was long awaited because I'm slow and I got distracted by other projects. ;-)

    Party On,

    Newton

Have you given any thought to contacting Nathan's and asking them directly about their mesh fabric?
