I do not think any BPL member from the Bay Area can walk 23 miles in a day.
Mt. Diablo 3,849 ft.May 9, 2012 at 7:48 am #1875817I recently found out I can't without crippling myself. I was looking forward to trying but I agreed to shuttle and support some people for Bay to Breakers which is also on the twentieth.
May 9, 2012 at 12:01 pm #1875892Jay, what is the specific trailhead or start point for the hike? Just want to make sure I don't end up in the wrong spot at 5:30 AM.
Thanks,

MarcMay 9, 2012 at 2:46 pm #1875942When I read the first post I assumed you all would be starting and finishing at Jay's. You kids have fun.

May 15, 2012 at 10:49 am #1877930Are we still on for Sunday the 20th?

Bring plenty of water and electrolytes…..going to be a warm/hot day.

May 15, 2012 at 11:59 am #1877953Yes Tony we are ON! It seams like a repeat of a few years ago but not has hot. The 6:00 AM start time will beat a lot of afternoon warmth. See ya soon.
May 16, 2012 at 10:27 am #1878231Just curious to see how many of us there will be on this journey.
Count me in!
And a big thanks to Jay for putting this together.
Jay….do you need us to bring anything for the after hike party?
-Tony
May 16, 2012 at 12:21 pm #1878268Hi Tony. I will be there. I guess this means I have to wake around 3:30am. Going to be a triple shot morning :)
I will bring some beer for the after party. Maybe some hummus and pita chips too if I can hit the farmers market tomorrow.
May 16, 2012 at 12:53 pm #1878283Jeremy will supply some home brew and I will supply the pizza plus other beverages and snacks. But fill free to bring what ever you want. The more the better! I am sure we will all be hungry in the afternoon. The Weather is actually cooling down… Any questions please PM me—See ya all early on Sunday…
Jay
May 19, 2012 at 9:46 am #1879241Sorry, I injured my foot last weekend and I have not been able to get it better in a weeks time. Thanks for your interest but the hike is cancelled.
Jay
May 19, 2012 at 9:48 am #1879242Sorry to hear that, Jay. Hope your foot gets better soon.
May 19, 2012 at 10:45 am #1879254Jay, sorry to hear about your foot.
I did respond to your PM's (all of them) hope you got the messages.
I'll probably still be making the hike and will be at the trailhead around 6:00 AM, if anyone else is interested still. I won't have any pizza but will have a few beers on ice as motivation to make it back :)
May 19, 2012 at 10:57 am #1879257Jacob, fill free to stop buy before and after the hike to clean up if you want. I will probably still have pizza & beer any ways in the afternoon. You can leave your car at my house ! am just a few minutes from the trail head.
May 19, 2012 at 11:35 am #1879263Thanks for the offer I will prob. do that. I won't wake you up in the morning though :)
If you see a gray dodge ram in front of your place, that's me.
May 19, 2012 at 12:24 pm #1879269We can start and finish at my house, very close to jays. Pm me for address.
And lets start at 7. On the nose. Get there 20 minutes before.
U can bring beer if u want but i have 3 kegs on tap in the garage so no need but up to u. My home brew is decent but i have much less experience than cameron so no worries if u want to have back up
Sound good? Anyone in? Jay u are welcome to come hang out afterward.
May 19, 2012 at 2:38 pm #1879295Jeremy,
Count me in and starting at 7 pm is always nice so I can get a little more beauty rest.
We could always all pitch in for pizza too.
-Tony
May 19, 2012 at 3:13 pm #1879300Still in.
Jeremy I sent you a PM, still waiting to hear. I'm out of the house for the evening, if I don't hear from you or Tony then I'll look for you guys at the trailhead @ 7:00
May 20, 2012 at 8:35 pm #1879647Well, I made it home safely, if not a little spaced out.
I had a great time hiking with you guys today (Tony, Jeremy). Weather was nice, heat wasn't toooo bad – or much better than last time from what I gather :)
Jeremy, thanks for the excellent home brews, pizza pie, and for picking a good route out for us.
Jay, sorry to miss you, hopefully we'll link up at the next one!
