I just finished up my own version of Kavu's Chillba. I plan to try to write a guide for it over the next couple of days to put up on my blog. For now, I am too excited to not share it and so I have put up some pictures on there and will post the guide as soon as it is done.
Feb 14, 2012 at 7:05 pm #1839592I've been considering a similar project for ten years. Well done.

Great Job!
Feb 14, 2012 at 9:58 pm #1839657Good idea on the 3D foam for a headband. What was the initial diameter of the foam?
Feb 15, 2012 at 7:04 am #1839721Joe at Zpacks said he made his a 21" diameter, I believe. However, those blue foam mats are only 20" wide, so mine has an initial 20" diameter.
Feb 15, 2012 at 7:47 am #1839750Same design as links given earlier. It will always be a challenge in wind and could become unusable in high winds. You will need to be sitting in shade to use it as a sit pad. Just pointing out the obvious.
