Does anyone know if there are fire restrictions for SEKI and Inyo National Forest? I'm planning a trip from Horseshoe Meadows to Whitney Portal and I'd like to take a wood stove with me. So far my google searching has come up empty.

Not above 10,400 in Inyo NF north of Horseshoe Mdw.
Not on Whitney Trail. If there is fire danger they may have a lower limit too. Sometimes 8,000 or evn 9000 in SEKI due to lots of heavy fuel down low.
Pretty much your whole route is out. Which is why my wood stove has been used to play with but only on one trip in 20 years.
