    These are hand made with quality wool, in a clean, smoke free home.
    There are 2 basic styles, the rolled edge and the folded over edge.
    The wool I use is either 100% machine washable Merino, better for hiking; 100 Baby Alpaca wool, warmer and softer but hand wash only, and a blend of the two .

    These are the rolled Merino, sizes medium/ Large. 28 dollars shipped

    Medium Large Merino

    Another set of rolled Merino in Medium to Large. 28 dollars shipped

    This is just what I have in stock, but I can make any combination in a few days. I take returns if you are not happy and i repair them for free, irregardless of cause.

    Thanks for all the support, Katharina

    These look awesome, Kat!

    For the folded edge, is the edge sewn up or can I "unroll" it to cover my nose at night? :) I really like your work.

    Thanks.
    I will have lots of them at the GGG.
    The folded over edge can be pulled down over the ears and neck.
    I can also embroider some small initials discreetly in the back, or under the fold, at no extra charge, if you'd like.

    Mine arrived today. Fits great and love the color. The alpaca material itched a little too much but the merino is great.

    I've bought a lot of cold weather hats in my time. I grew up in COLD country and these are MUCH better made than anything you can buy in a big retail outlet.

    Thanks Kendall :)

    @JJ
    : The Orange and Grey is a Merino hat. The description is above the picture, not below.

    @ Matthew : The Merino is not as warm as the Alpaca, at least in the yarns I use. Merino will work better if you hike in it, because the longer hair of the Alpaca can make some people itch when they sweat. The Alpaca is the much softer to the touch, and will keep you warmer in cold weather, at camp etc. Merino is machine washable and keeps a good stretch. Alpaca is a hand wash, but if it loosens up a bit after time, washing it with some warm water and soap will tighten it back a bit, but one has to be careful not to shrink/felt it too much.
