do you use grossgrain for pack straps? I know it is used for tarp/tent guyline tyouts….
just curious…
BTW…im learning to really love DIY gear supply….Nov 16, 2011 at 9:01 pm #1802612Generally, no. It will slip in conventional ladderlocs. I think that ITW Nexus developed some that will not slip, but I just stick with nylon webbing.

I've never seen nor used these, but here they are.
Nov 16, 2011 at 9:20 pm #1802620i was trying to consolidate an order…but i just wanted to make 100% sure before i went and ordered a bunch of it…although ill probably use it somewhere down the line…
Thanks!Nov 16, 2011 at 9:22 pm #1802621No problem. I'd suggest using webbing on straps anyway. It is not worth the minimal weight savings if the grosgrain were to fail.
Nov 16, 2011 at 9:23 pm #1802622that site is like buckle heaven.
Nov 16, 2011 at 9:24 pm #1802624I believe they make the buckles. The minimum order is very, very high. It is not a distributor.
Nov 16, 2011 at 10:04 pm #1802640they have a distributer about 30 min from me…maybe i can go to the warehouse and shop!
