I need help settling a debate with a hiking buddy of mine. All of my insulating garments have primaloft as their primary insulation. He asserts that Polarguard is a much superior insulation. I have searched for over-parkas and pants that contain polarguard and all I can find are references from 2006 and before.
What happened to polarguard and how does climasheild fit into the mix?
I am looking for a "fat suit" to don when in camp or stopping for lunch on extended trips in the minus F scale. (I have found polarguard in sleeping bags)
Thanks,
Dave
A polarguard suit was made for the NOLS winter mountaineeering training, but the company is now non-existent
