    @flash582

    I pulled this list together out of things that I already have in my gear closet or are in the process of making (spin bag and momentum 90 bivy). I know there are lighter options, but I assuming that I don't want to spend any more cash, and I want a list that is good down to about 20 degrees in a pinch.

    Opinions?

    You're not counting clothes you'll be wearing like shoes, pants, etc?

    Also be helpful if you included the totals of each of the categories you defined.

    No, I'm not looking at Skin out weight at this point, just pack weight.

    On my bod I have a pair of REI Sahara Convertables, REI long sleeve Zip Tee, Windshirt, Nylon Ball Cap, Addias Shoes, Smartwool Socks, and my Patagonia Boxers. Whistle and two Photon's around my neck on a EZ cord lanyard. Small Swiss Army Knife, BSA Flint, and my car key on a mini key ring in my pocket.

    I also have a pair of Komperdales for hiking poles.

    So …. the G6 and the Bivy were the two pieces I needed to make this list happen. I finished the Bivy yesterday and the G6 came in the mail.

    Final weight was ….. 4.98 lbs.

    First sub 5 trip is next weekend to the Goodwater trail north of Austin Texas. 16 miles in two days, Daytime temps high 50's to low 60's, Nightime lows in the low thirties. Rain possible, 10 to 15 MPH winds likely. 2L of water carried on average.
