Nov 10, 2011 at 12:58 pm #1800499I'm in….possibly +1
Nov 10, 2011 at 9:59 pm #1800664Just found this tonight. Sounds great. Count me in!
Nov 10, 2011 at 10:22 pm #1800669Sounds great!
Nov 10, 2011 at 10:43 pm #1800677Question–if this is a designated wilderness, aren't you pushing the party size limits?
If it were only closer to northern Oregon, I'd be there, too! If I hadn't just taken a trip down to visit my daughter in the bay area, I would consider it despite the distance.
Nov 10, 2011 at 11:02 pm #1800681It's BLM land which was one of the deciding factors of why it's at Cache Creek I believe.
Nov 11, 2011 at 3:02 am #1800692I'm in and would like to carpool from Sac.
Ditto on having the organizers look into regulations. I'm not an organizer..
Nov 11, 2011 at 5:24 am #1800705This might be the last free year. getting to the point where we will be renting a facility or paying for a organized permit. Really want to avoid that. Anyone who can recommend a suitable location for 100+….
We'll stick with feigning ignorance and begging forgiveness. Has worked so far with the Mrs.
Nov 11, 2011 at 7:32 am #1800733Agree with my partner…. If there are more suitable facilities we'd be all over it. Fronting cash and recouping it is a major headache that both Kens would agree are not fun.
We are ALWAYS open for suggestion to further the enjoyment.
I guess we can move this to the desert and mimic Burning Man……. (joke)
Nov 11, 2011 at 7:40 am #1800737I'll be there.
Nov 11, 2011 at 8:30 am #1800760The date is too far out to know exactly, but I will try to come again. Depending on the kids schedules I might try to bring my wife and a couple of the kids. We will see.

Nov 11, 2011 at 9:49 am #1800784Hi all, as Ken and company slog away in the rain and checking the site, I am at home with a bad back warm and dry. My computer is down at the moment and for some reason I am not able to update our list on my pad. Hopefully by the end of the weekend this will be fixed and things will be updated
Edit: just a quick thought here…. There are plenty of folks coming from Southern California for this "event" so carpooling could prove useful
Nov 11, 2011 at 10:03 am #1800786Oh Yea I am in!!!!
Nov 11, 2011 at 10:29 am #1800796Of course Jay!
Nov 11, 2011 at 11:49 am #1800832Any interest in setting up a Meetup group for this event? It would be a central clearinghouse for current and future events, activities, membership, signups, e-mails, etc. The cost is about $144 per year, which I could cover if needed.
Nov 11, 2011 at 12:52 pm #1800851I'm happy keeping it on the forum. Thank you for the offer.
Nov 12, 2011 at 9:32 am #1801051Add my friend Greg to the list please……
Nov 12, 2011 at 11:44 am #1801086I'm going to do my best to make it. Last years trip was a blast!
Nov 13, 2011 at 3:53 pm #1801404GGG IV scouting report brought to you in part by Darn Tough, Vermont and Modelo Especial.
I have determined that my camera died shortly before arrival. Fortunately I take very poor photographs and it is no great loss.
Nov 13, 2011 at 10:09 pm #1801505Had a great time this weekend with Ken, Mat, and Adam, thanks guys for a fun and much needed weekend in the woods. I have a few pics tha I can post, and Adam has a few he can post hopefuly.
Just getting into camp.
The view from our camp looking back.
View from the front of camp.
This is kind of a side view from camp.
Sunset, I think I waited a little to long to take this shot.
My shelter, Hexamid from ZPacks.
Adam's MYOG Rayway tarp.
Jay's Duomid from MLD.
I didn't get a pic of Matt's, but he was in a bivy, not sure which one, sorry Matt.
It's always nice to have a fire on a chilly night.
That's about it for now, hopefuly Adam can post some pics.

Nov 14, 2011 at 7:47 am #1801563Sign me up, officially..
Nov 14, 2011 at 8:32 am #1801578Looks like you guys had a great time. Doesn't look like a plethora of trees, you guy's see any issues with bringing a hammock on this trip?
I think Matt has a SMD Metor Bivy. At least that's what he had with him last trip to the Trinity's.
Nov 14, 2011 at 11:41 am #1801647Not really conducive to hammock at this site unfortunately. Stay tuned…
