Oct 16, 2011 at 6:38 pm #1791376And then search cold thistle Dry-Q and you will get a few different links to places he has spoken on the subject on his blog.
From what i can tell all the reading i have done "a butt load" being i am in the market for a new shell Dr-Q ends up being no better than Event. Neo Shell and Gore Active Shell seem to be performing best from what i have read. I have scoured the net for hours on the subject. I will be able to tell you about the Active and Neo shell Soon as i expect a couple coats in the mail early to mid week. I have a Rab Neo shell now that i am returning and is a very nice coat, i like the material it is just cut a big bulky for mu size.
I will give a little write up after i get use the coats. I would opt for something other than the Dry-Q but that is just me.
Oct 16, 2011 at 6:53 pm #1791382Oct 16, 2011 at 7:47 pm #1791405I'm pretty sure that Dry-Q is MH's rebrand of eVent. Since GE released the eVent tech to be rebranded by other companies, I think Dry-Q is MH's version of it.
May 2, 2012 at 10:34 am #1873547What Ben said above is true, it's MHW's rebranding of eVent. Moreover, does anyone have info on the different types of DryQ membrane? There are 3 types:
> DryQ Elite – "most wp/b" a 3 layer eVent membrane
> DryQ Active – "best for active use" still 3 layer on the Effusion
> DryQ Core – I believe it's simply an updated PU coating, replacing their epic fabric, seen on the MHW epic.Any place to differentiate the different types of eVent MHW is rebranding and the respective specs such as HH? Thanks in advance
May 2, 2012 at 8:31 pm #1873797My earlier experiences with MH's WPB gear (gloves and Ski Patrol parkas) were BAD. Waterproof but NOT breathable.
Just sayin'. Buyer beware, ESPECIALLY of "badge engineering".
