perhaps best suited for the cycling forum,
but indirectly related.
has anyone any experience with crafting a (removable) padded liner, as to make a traditional garment, cycling-approriate? i'm trying to multi-purpose a pair of capris to sneak through fall. would a seamstress be necessary? needle and thread aren't my gig.

Tri shorts also work well in this application.
