Hi,
I need a guesstimate of how long it would take to drive from Rock Springs Wy to Big Sandy TH to Pinedale to Green River TH. The car rental website says it'll take a little over 6 hours. Mapquest has it at about 4. Please advise.
Thanks,

I'd go with the longer, depending on how you drive. You'll be on lots of dirt. The road from 191 to Big Sandy is pretty good except for the last few miles but the road to Green River Lakes is bad, tons of washboard- depending on your tolerance for wear and tear on the suspension of the vehicle expect around max 1 1/2 hrs from Pinedale, less if you pound it. Have a great time and if going soon whatever you do, do not forget your headnet!!! Take care, EricPyramid Lake area on 8/2/11

1 hour from Rock Springs to 28/Farson
1.5 hours from Farson to Big Sandy
2 hours from Big Sandy to Pinedale, via BoulderThe Great Outdoors Shop in Pinedale can tell you the drive-time to GRL.
Take a detailed map of the county roads into Big Sandy.
Aug 13, 2011 at 8:27 pm #1769109Al, we did this trip 3 weeks ago. We drove 2 hrs from Rock Spings to Pinedale on US 191. The drive from PInedale to the Green River Lakes TH is 1 hour. As Eric says the dirt section of the drive to the Green River Lakes is a bit rough.
We didn't stop at the Big Sandy TH but did see the turn off.
