    I'm looking into possibly buying a quilt, and wanted to look into the option of converting my bag into a quilt instead.

    I currently have a long marmot arete 40 degree down mummy bag.

    I'm looking into having the hood taken off (I think this is kind of a requirement of the pattern because I see taking the zipper out and making it the new bottom, correct me if I'm wrong). I'm looking into stuffing the down back into the bag to hopefully get it to a 30 degree quilt. I'm looking to have the quilt trimmed a bit to fit me rather than just plucking out the zipper and re-sewing.

    I was wondering at if anyone is willing to take this on who has done this type of thing before, and how much they'd charge.
