Here is a standard to get suggestions:
Jun 21, 2011 at 3:53 am #1751571Hmmm – Pancho tarp is a bit of a worry (don't want to start an another thread here!) but think about Dri Ducks, jacket only.
You'll love the Montbell.
Can't get my head around the quilt, but "horses for courses".
Mike – I am leaving Happy Isles on August 9 – Keep an ear out for a guy with a funny accent!!!Jul 4, 2011 at 11:45 pm #1756031Personally…
I would ditch the E-Lite and bring a Tikka. My E-Lite has flickered heavily while hiking. If you don't plan on night hiking, then E-Lite should be fine.
Due to snow levels and thus high creek crossings I would recommend trekking poles (but that's me).
Bring a camera. I didn't in 2003 and STILL regret it.
I don't think Aqua Mira is unnecessary if you choose your water sources well. Often in the sierra you can see your water source (the big snow bank above you).
Suggest a Platypus with a push/pull top as well. It makes a great pillow.
All the above really depends on how fast and far you plan to go…
